I had this crock pot for a long time and with age, it developed an ugly grayish sediment around the perimeter that looked absolutely awful. So I put the darn thing to rest and forgot all about it up until today.
I yanked it out of its hiding place and decided to give it a facelift. With that in mind, I poured warm water into it, added some dishwashing liquid, set on low and let it go for a couple of hours.
Came back, and oh my, it did the trick. My old crock pot looks like new again. I love it, especially that the cleaning was a cinch. Set it and forget it; totally my style, especially in my tiny studio.
